Well, no sooner do I post a note here about the Eco Innovate Expo 09 in Esssex, scheduled for 21 October, and I receive a notice from the organiser that the event has been cancelled due to difficulty in obtaining enough registrants in these difficult economic times. The upside of this is that Expo 09 in Cambridge is now the primary venue for businesses to get together on carbon reduction and climate change this month!

The EXPO 09 event will be a useful, Cambridge-focused, companion to the larger one on 21st October 2009 coordinated through the UK Centre for Economic and Environmental Development (UKCEED). Eco Innovate 09 is a trade fair, showcasing products and services which help businesses become more resource efficient and sustainable. There will be fair stalls for companies who wish to showcase their environmental solutions to attendees from across the UK. The fair will also have a conference and seminar programme, a Dragons Den style Eco Innovator panel and an NSIP workshop. For more information visit
